We are also pleased to report that our work with Disabled Golfers also continues to develop.

Sportivate is a programme funded through Sport England via the National Lottery designed to provide sports coaching for those between 14 and 25 who currently receive little or no coaching in a sport.
Within this umbrella BCGP is working with our County Sports Partnership (team Beds&Luton) and Simon Wagstaff (from Chalgrave Manor Golf Club), to put together a funding bid and programme of Golf coaching for the Dunstable and District Disabled Sports group. We are delighted that our application has very recently been approved and the project will be starting shortly.
We are also currently investigating and discussing ways of broadening our involvement with Autism Bedfordshire through bringing golf to a group of autistic adults based mainly in the south of the county through lessons, again with Simon Wagstaff.
The adult group based at Mowsbury in Bedford has now finished their latest series of lessons with at least one member now joining her father and beginning to play golf regularly. We intend to approach Sportivate to investigate whether any funding stream may be available to continue supporting this group as well.
